Students have completed their weather presentations about precipitation, air pressure, temperature, clouds, humidity and wind. What a great learning experience for us all! I hope you have heard about it from your student. They had the experience of online research through a variety of webquests, and then creating a presentation for their class about what they learned. Students created posters, Powerpoints, Keynotes, iMovies, and some groups made weather instruments. It was wonderful to see them so engaged Timberland Boots with their learning as well as working cooperatively with each other! Some students came to Technology Day to share about their experiences and the products they have created. This was my first time using this process in class, and now your students are blogging about that Cheap Oakley Sunglasses experience. I think we all agree it was a highinterest way for them to learn. Everyone now has to have a Facebook page and a blog about their entire life. It nearly impossible to be asked to parties unless you get an event invitation. Don Draper life is completely shrouded in mystery and everyone at work is cool with it. He isn even really Don Draper. When Pete tries to expose him, no one even cares. Status updates now let us know when people we don even know get haircuts. Even if people at work want their lives private, their open cubicles expose everything. There are no office doors to shut like in Mad Men.
Over the next year I will be spending a lot of time on some land I've bought on the edge of Manu National Park in Peru. I bought the 100 acres of rainforest in an attempt to help protect the park from loggers and poachers they were using my little bit of land to access the park http://www.knobsflat.co.nz/error/filter.php as it was at the end of a road. The aim now is discover more about what species I've got on my plot and document the creatures of the area as Manu has the highest diversity of species found anywhere on earth. I'll be photographing and filming as many species as I can http://www.stylestudio1.com.au/default/header.php and will hopefully be discovering Insanity Workout new species as I go. I'll also be using the time to find out more about the problems facing the Amazon, in my area its mainly cocaine, logging and gold mining.
